Mindful Moments
Mindfulness is a lifelong journey, and the path that we walk should have some lightness to it. Sometimes it can get serious and heavy, and our desire to transform can cause a lot of striving, or it's frustrating so we stop practicing. By returning to the practice time after time we can realize a peaceful and heart-fufilling life. A permanent and deep joy naturally bubbles up and we feel that joy and spread it all over our bodies in this session.

I learned that it’s very helpful to add mindfulness practice in the afternoon to bring my awareness back to myself in the moment and remind myself that I don’t need to rush or worry, but just breathe and relax and be. 😊

Negative Mindfulness
I realize now how I've practiced mindfulness in such a negative way for most of my life that it's become habitual. I've lived from that negative place just about every day of my life, in some manner. If the weather sucks, my whole day falls apart. If I don't get my way, I cannot experience joy. That's a lie I've believed and believe it or not,that type of mindfulness keeps me trapped in an ungrateful state of mind.

Choosing to be joyful each day.
I have a much better understanding of the expression or saying that "each day is a gift." Recently survived a life threatening event and am so thankful to God for helping me and saving me. I'm glad I found this app which helps me start my day with a whole new view on life. These sessions are great and I will never take another day for granted again. There is an acronym for the word joy that I really like - it is Jesus Over You..... He truly opened my eyes to some things - a lot of things actually. This particular session really resonated with me and I felt so refreshed and peaceful afterwards. There is a scripture that I feel like I know all too well: psalm 30:5 weeping may remain for a night - but, joy comes in the morning. I think emotions like happiness and joy are a choice you can make. Sessions like this for a good reminders for making such choices. Thanks for a great session - I'm choosing to be joyful!!

Once we realize there is more to life rather than waking up and repeating the same old routine, there should be some kind of positive outlook and energetic feeling in our hearts that drive us to a successful and memorable life. This meditation is an excellent opportunity to check in with both your mind and body increasing self awareness and a reminder of why this practice is so important. I’ve often lost sight of what is really important in life as I followed our consumer driven society where more is never enough. I spent so much time chasing a “perfect time “ somewhere off in the future. The perfect time for me is NOW, there’s no place we reach where our work here as we learn,grow and create our lives. I for one find this such an exhilarating thought. I’m where I’m supposed to be now and adventure awaits as I become the person I will be. 😊

Spread the joy
Has anyone ever noticed that your feelings, energy,anxiety,joy etc...seem to start at a specific place in your body or mind? I’ve noticed this lately and through mindfulness and breathing have been able to either expand my good feelings or calm my negative ones. The mind is so powerful! I am obsessed with journeying into the untapped abilities of my mind/body connection! Spread the joy throughout your mind and body and unto the external. Just some thoughts! Have an awesome day!

Mind wandered off
During this meditation my mind wandered off and I was thinking of all the things I need to do today. However once I was able to bring myself back into the meditation I was able to feel myself relaxing and knowing happiness is all mine if I allow myself to have it.

Although I agree with the premise of this meditation, it did just the opposite of its title. On other words, it subdued my joy. Why? Because, it was a lecture about mindfulness and joy, rather than a meditation. I don’t come to these meditations to be lectured. I come to lose myself in the meditation. Perhaps I am more sensitive to this because of my background as a teacher, and the years of professional development.

I did this meditation with my eyes open this morning to experience the beauty I am surrounded with sitting outside in my backyard. There is a cool breeze. Pretty flowers to look at. The smell of fresh cut grass. I am fully present in this moment which is what mindfulness is. When your heart and mind are in alignment that is pure joy.

When we decide to practice the life-long journey of mindfulness, we awaken our senses, we awaken our spirit. Authentic joy is when we feel happy, when we are excited for no particular reason other than Knowing that this new day is filled with infinite possibilities. This Knowing can give us authentic joy. Since changing up my morning routine from just jumping out of bed to taking the time to setting intentions for my day, being thankful and grateful, I’ve been experiencing an awakening, a true feeling of joy, in my heart space. Even when I wake up tired, as I did this morning, while brushing my teeth and mentally saying my daily mantra, I felt this joy boil up in my heart. Mind you, I wasn’t always this way. I used to wake up angry and frustrated every morning. It’s no wonder why I wasn’t enjoying my life back then. I was looking at my life, at all of life frankly, through negative filtered glasses. As I continue on this journey, I am excited. I am inspired. I am filled with authentic joy on all the things that Just Are and on all the things that Can Be in my life. This transformation I am experiencing is truly amazing and it all started when I made a Choice to embark on a daily journey of mindfulness, of thankfulness, of gratitude. I truly believe that we can all experience authentic joy within our heart, within our entire being. We are only One Choice away from changing our lives for the better and that Choice is all of ours to individually make! Namaste 🙏🏻❤️☮️

I know I have a lot to process. Leaving someone I was trying with for 10 years. Single parent of 4 girls. And juggling school and searching for a job to take care of us. It would be the recipe for breakdown..I have decided, I have chosen to be happy. I have chosen to know I am more. I have understood love is not just being with a man. It is all around me. Love is my daughter’s who want nothing but a smile on my face. Its having the option to even go to school to better ya. Its me being involved in my girls lives. Its me loving me. I get JOY when I live in the present moment m. I pray to live in the now and not think back on the past to hurt my feelings...cause they can be tremendously hurt. I pray for my grit and peace.

The very end of this meditation took over me in a powerful way. Normally I like to stay in a relaxed state with my eyes closed for a few minutes after, but as soon as she said “open your eyes” my eyes opened and I felt more refreshed then I have in weeks.
